Fire Risk Assessment Ensuring you comply with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRO) came into effect in October 2006 and replaced over 70 pieces of fire safety law. The RRO applies to all non-domestic premises in England and Wales, including the common parts of blocks of flats and Houses of Multiple Occupation (HMOs). The law applies to you if you are:
Under the RRO, the responsible person must carry out a fire safety risk assessment and implement and maintain a fire management plan. In addition, more detailed advice and guidance on the implementation of a fire risk management plan can be found in the series of guidance documents available from the government. The report will give guidance and recommendations so that you can address any deficiencies enabling you to comply with the requirements of the Regulatory Reform Order.
